As with other crosslinking resin systems, foaming polyurethane systems undergo product formation and formation simultaneously. This process is typical for the production of various polyurethane foams, both of extremely variable hardness and in their appearance.

Their foaming can be characterized by the following parameters:
Mixing time: time for mixing components
Start time / cream time: time from the start of mixing to the increase in viscosity of the reaction mixture
Curing time: time from the start of mixing to the cessation of flowability
Rise time: time from the start of mixing to the end of the foam rise
Adhesion (tack) time: time from the start of mixing to the cessation of tack

Start-idő/cream time: a keverés kezdetétől a reakcióelegy viszkozitásnövekedéséig eltelt idő
Kötési idő/gel time: a keverés kezdetétől a folyóképesség megszűnéséig eltelt idő
Emelkedési idő/rise time: a keverés kezdetétől a habemelkedés befejeződéséig eltelt idő
A ragadásmentesség ideje/adhesion (tack) time: a keverés kezdetétől a ragadósság megszűnéséig eltelt idő
