Gelcoats

Gel resins are high-viscosity thixotropic polyesters, usually containing fillers and pigments, which, in addition to corrosion protection, also serve special purposes: such as the color, gloss and decorative nature of the surface. The service life of a frame-reinforced polyester product is crucially affected by the resistance of the surface layer in contact with the environment to chemicals, water, temperature (heroes) and mechanical influences (impact, scratches, wear, etc.). The same surface layer determines the decorative, aesthetic character of the final product. Given this, it is understandable to choose carefully "gelcoat" or "topcoat", which can be applied by hand or by machine, depending on the production process. The first layer is called “gelcoat” and the last layer is called “topcoat”.
