Polyaddition silicones have significantly better mechanical properties, almost no shrinkage, (less than 0.1%!) Can also be used well with polyester resins, but goods are higher. The platinum catalyst is non-toxic, but all known catalyst poisons prevent crosslinking, so e.g. do not come into contact with sulfur-containing (rubber) objects. The mixing ratio is usually 1: 1, (in rare cases 10: 1) well measurable, mixable, “user friendly”, in many cases no vacuum is required for aeration.
